Responsibilities of the Assistant Account Manager:
- Managing accounts payables and receivables for clients
- Ensuring proper backup, coding, and approvals for all entries
- Entering payables and cash receipts in Zenith with scanned backup
- Maintaining an accurate accounts payable and codes list
- Timely payment of all client bills
- Reviewing Balance Sheet and P&L for accurate coding
- Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assisting with year-end tax packages and 1099 processing
- Booking Brokerage accounts
- Resolving any outstanding payment issues
- Assisting Senior Manager with requests
- Providing pocket account balances to Senior Manager
- Verifying wires and ACH instructions for new vendors
- Requesting W9's from vendors
- Downloading client credit cards and applying codes
- Handling emails and inquiries promptly, copying appropriate management
- Preparing monthly cash flow package and bank reconciliations for client review
- Performing other general accounting duties and projects as required
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as answering phones and client mail
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong people skills with a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask with ease and professionalism
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 3+ years of Bookkeeping and/or Accounting Experience, with emphasis on Accounts Payable and Receivables
